The trial of singer George Nooks on a cocaine possession charge was rescheduled to March 27, 2018 in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court by Judge Vaughn Smith. Nooks had his bail extended to the new trial date. MICHAEL Prophet, one of the many roots singers who emerged from the Jamaican dancehall during the 1980s, died in London at age 60.
