Dancehall artiste Chronic Law has directly challenged claims attributed to an FBI agent that he previously provided information which was later used in investigations involving alleged rival gang members. In his second social media statement on Thursday, the St Thomas native gave his version of his interactions with the agent, maintaining that he did not “snitch” and questioning portions of testimony reportedly given during his federal court proceedings. Chronic Law, whose given name is Ackeme Jermane Campbell, remains in US federal custody after pleading not guilty to a firearm charge. Flippa Moggela remains in custody in the United States as attorneys continue discussions over a possible plea agreement in the drug case against the Jamaican Dancehall entertainer. The case involving the entertainer, whose given name is Andrew Davis, has been delayed for another 30 days after prosecutors and defence attorneys requested additional time to continue negotiations. According to Nationwide News, the court granted the request and set November 9 as the new date for the matter to return to court. Jamaican Dancehall artiste Chronic Law is scheduled to stand trial in the United States on October 26 on a federal gun possession charge, according to new reports on September 11. According to Nationwide News, the court has also scheduled a pretrial hearing for September 30 before Judge W. Louis Sands. Although the trial is currently listed for October, court records state that proceedings must begin by November 9 to meet the 70-day requirement under the Speedy Trial Act.
