Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley drop the long awaited video for his new single “Nail Pon Cross.” The cut will be featured on his upcoming album “Stony Hill” due later this year.
The video was first released exclusively on TIDAL where Marley is a co-owner. The video is now available on YouTube. The cut was directed by Darren Craig and was shot in Los Angeles in July.
“At one point in time centuries ago, crucifixion was a widely used form of capital punishment,” Damian Marley told Billboard. “So we are not reenacting the crucifixion of Christ but showing the crucifixion of many. Whether people like it or not, the most important thing is to raise conversations about the judgments made against people.”
More details about the album will be forthcoming at a later date but so far we know that Nas, Agent Sasco, and Wayne Marshall will be among the guest features.
