Lady Saw aka Marion Hall Praying & Speaking In Tongues 2016 (Video)
Come March 27, fans in New York will get to see Marion Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, in action, as she performsat her first gospel concert since her baptism into the Christian faith last December.
The former dancehall queen is billed as one of the headline acts on GospelReggae Experience, set to take place at the Evander Child High School in Bronx, New York.
When asked if she thought she had what it took to headline a show so early in her Christian walk, the entertainer told The Gleaner that whatever shows she is billed for now, God is the headlining act.
“If I’m the headliner, it’s not me who is getting the praise or the attention, it’s the
Lord. I don’t really care about where they put me on the show. I’m just a vessel for Him.”
Speaking on her upcoming performance, Hall said she is fully prepared and ready.
“I’m ready and excited,” she said. “Just the fact that the Lord is using me and talking to me, I just feel honoured to be in His presence and to be a part of His flock.”
“People are coming to see me for different reasons. Some coming to wish you well, some coming to hear the Word, some coming to fas’, but I am open and I am just asking the Lord to lead me, put words in my mouth. Whatever the Lord tells me to do, I’m going to do it. He’s leading me all the way,” she said. “Some people may not know this, but I have quite a few gospel songs out already, so I have material that I can use for a show.”
BIBLE SCHOOL
She went on to say that in the near future, she hopes to perform as Minister Hall and says she is going to Bible school to help bring that to fruition.
“The Lord says Minister Hall, but that will come. I am going to school just trying to learn more about God’s way,” she said. “I’m just excited. I am hungry and thirsty for the Lord and I just want to learn so much.”
Hall said fans can expect a good show and says she will be performing songs like Jesus in the End, Praise Him, God Almighty, Heaven, Glory Be to God and a few others, including some new material. Hall also expressed joy at being able to perform on the same show as Stitchie, who was also a dancehall entertainer-turned-gospel artiste. Stitchie is the other headlining act on the show.
