Céline Dion’s Brother Dies of Cancer Two Days After Her Husband

It’s been a sad week for singer Céline Dion.

Just two days after the death of herhusband to cancer, Dion has been dealt another blow: Her brother, Daniel, also passed away to cancer Saturday morning in Montreal. According to Page Six, Daniel was battling cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. He was only 59.

Céline’s sister Claudette opened up to the Journal of Montreal a day before her brother’s passing .“It’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours,” she commented. “It looks a lot like René, [Daniel] had cancer of the throat, tongue, and brain. Our family is very experienced.”

Our hearts and prayers go out to Céline and her family, and hope they can get through this very dark time.
