Bolt: I will show up at the World Championships
Bolt, who will race in the 100 meters in the Diamond League meeting at London’s Olympic Stadium on Friday, has not competed since running the 200m in New York last month.
He withdrew from events in Lausanne in June and Paris earlier in July with the leg injury. In the meantime, Justin Gatlin has shaped up as the man to beat at the World Championships. The American runner hasn’t lost an individual race since September 2013.
Bolt says “he won’t know until tomorrow” how fit he is but added, ahead of next month’s event in Beijing, that “when the championship comes, if anyone knows anything about me, I will show up.”
