O’Dayne Richards cops Jamaica’s first gold in national and Pan Am record
Jamaica bagged its first gold medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto as shot putter O’Dayne Richards won the Men’s finals on Tuesday.
Richards, who threw a new Jamaican national and Pan American Games Record, won with a distance of 21.69m.
The Jamaican broke the previous national record – which he also held at 21.68m – as well as the previous Pan American Games Record of 21.30m.
