Mavado Suing US Promoter Says He Was Scammed (VIDEO)
Mavado and his management team is suing a US based promoter claiming that he was scammed.
A rep for the dancehall hitmaker siad that AJ Promotions tried to book the deejay for shows in California but talks broke down because the promoter was unprofessional.
“AJ promotions owes Mavado money and we will be taking legal action for breach of contract,” the singjay’s rep told us.
The promoter AJ is also accusing Mavado of breach of contract claiming that they paid the artist US$36,000 in fees and even booked his flight but received nothing.
Mavado’s manager, Trevor Barrett, called that BS and says that they never let a promoter book flight for the artist.
“These are baseless allegations in fact how can you scam someone when they have the ticket itinerary,” Barrett said.
Mavado recently sat down with The Breakfast Club where he opened up about his recent collaboration with Vybz Kartel and deportation rumors.
“Over the years we go at it hard, but you done know we are from the streets so real recognized real and after the storm there must be a calm,” the “So Special” deejay said.
