Mariah Carey has been confirmed as headline act for the 19th staging of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival, set for Januray 29-31 at Trelawny Stadium near Falmouth.
This will mark Mariah’s first time performing in the Caribbean. Festival producer Walter Elmore noted that “welcoming Mariah Carey to Jamaica’s shores is truly exciting!”
The Jazz and Blues Festival is the first festival in the Western Hemisphere to present Mariah Carey since her last tour in 2006, he revealed.
Mariah Carey is the Best Selling Female Artist of All Time, logging more than 200 million records sold and 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 Singles, more than any solo artist in history.
A press release quoted Mariah as saying she is “thrilled to be performing in Jamaica for the first time ever”, and cannot wait to connect with her Jamaican fans.
