Macka Diamond apologises to Panamanians
MACKA DIAMOND… they came without my fee and the contract that I signed said that I should receive payment at the hotel
DEEJAY Macka Diamond is apologising to show patrons in Panama for missing a gig in that Central American country last weekend.
The entertainer, who was slated to perform at Club Fiesta in Panama City on April 26, stated that there were several glitches on the part of the concert’s organisers.
“First thing that went wrong is that the hotel is about 90 minutes away from the venue. When the promoters came to get us at the hotel, they came without my fee and the contract that I signed said that I should receive payment at the hotel,” she explained.
“By the time they left and returned with the rest of the cash, we were told that the club will be closed in another half-hour so by the time we would get there it would have been closed,” she stated.
Macka Diamond said that this didn’t went down well with the patrons who had already purchased tickets for the concert. A small protest was lodged and the Panamanian police were alerted and the promoter.
“Up to the point when we were leaving the airport in Panama, the promoter was still in police custody. The incident is really unfortunate as I was looking forward to performing for my fans,” the Dye Dye singer told the Jamaica Observer.
