Flippa Mafia drug case delayed for 30 days

The drug case involving dancehall artiste and convicted drug dealer Flippa Mafia has been delayed for 30 days.

This after, the court granted a request for a continuance from lead prosecutor Jeffrey Bender.

Flippa Mafia’s given name is Andrew Davis.

He, along with Damion Jones, James McBride and Clifford Brown, have been charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, metham-phet-amine and fentanyl.

The court had granted all four requests to engage in plea negotiations with the state.

Those negotiations were supposed to conclude on July 11.

However, presiding judge Elizabeth Pascal granted the request for a delay.

In requesting the delay, the prosecution indicated they needed more time to review documents and engage in plea negotiations.

Mafia’s new attorney, Jason Javie had also indicated he needed more time to review documents after replacing court-appointed attorney Edward Borden in late June.

Mafia will now return to court on August 10.

The entertainer was on probation for a previous drug trafficking and money laundering conviction at the time of this arrest.

He had only been released on parole in late 2022 after serving nine years of a 25-year sentence.

Meanwhile, following similar requests for continuance from the lead prosecutor, co-accused Jones, McBride and Brown were each granted 60-day delays.

They’ll all return to court on September 9.
