Sanchez’s Son Fatally Shot In St. Andrew, Jamaica
A shooting in Bedward Gardens, St. Andrew, claimed the lives of three men and the police have identified one of the deceased males to be Kevin Anthony Jackson, the son of Gospel singer Sanchez.
The untimely death comes in the midst of the Veteran burying his 74-year old mother, Bridgette Gardner Ivey who passed away earlier in April in Canada as she struggled with cancer, which made him too distraught to speak to anyone.
Now Sanchez is plunged back into mourning after the loss of another one of his family.
The shooting, which happened early Saturday morning, resulted in Jackson, also known as ‘Kidz Friday’ and the other victims, 24-year-old Rasheed ‘Buppy’ Edwards and 18-year-old Keno ‘Brains’ Wray, dying.
According to reports, the police responded to a call at around 4:50 a.m. alerting them of gunshots being fired in the area where the three men were playing dominoes with a group of others.
The three men were found lying along a dirt track in the vicinity of a football field with gunshot wounds.
After being rushed to the hospital they were pronounced dead.
The Major Investigation Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has launched an investigation.
Currently, there are no suspects.
