Vanessa Bryant Settles Law Suit With Helicopter Company after the DEATH of Kobe, Gianna and 7 Others
Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s widow sued the company that operated the helicopter in the January 2020 crash that killed her husband and her daughter Gianna along with seven other passengers. Sources revealed that on Tuesday Vanessa Bryant’s team of lawyers filed a notice of settlement at the court in Los Angeles. The terms for settlement were not released to everyone.
The wrongful death lawsuit was filed against ‘Island Helicopters Inc.’ in February 2020, when the pilot was accused of being negligent and careless, flying in cloudy conditions when he should have called off the flight.
Bryant was travelling with his 13-year-old daughter, to a youth basketball tournament, she was participating in on January 26, 2020. Two of her teammates Payton Chester and Alyssa Altobelli who were with her also died, along with Alyssa’s parents, John and Keri Altobelli, Payton’s mother, Sarah Chester. The girls’ Basketball coach Christina Mauser, at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California was killed and also the pilot, Ara Zobayan.
Kobe Bryant and Gianna were laid to rest in February of 2020, the private funeral took place at the Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, California.
