Celene Hall Becomes First Portland Woman to Win Miss Universe Jamaica

Portland native Celene Hall has been crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2026, becoming the first woman from the parish to win the national title in the history of the pageant. Hall emerged from a field of 33 contestants to take the crown during Sunday’s coronation show, held inside the ballroom of the AC Hotel in New Kingston.

Medical doctor Tianna McDaniel was named first runner-up, while Kadejah Anderson placed third in the competition.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness congratulated Hall and the other leading contestants in a social media post on Monday. “I warmly congratulate Celene Hall on winning the 2026 Miss Universe Jamaica title!” Holness wrote.

He also recognised McDaniel and Anderson, saying both women represented themselves and their parishes with pride. “I wish Celene every success as she prepares to represent Jamaica at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico on November 24,” he added.

Hall’s victory comes after an extensive journey through the national competition, with the Portland representative now preparing for the international stage.

Following her victory, Hall is set to represent Jamaica at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November 24 in Puerto Rico.
