Dancehall Artiste Kiprich and Kizzy’s Daughter ‘Miracle’ Died in Colombia
Dancehall entertainer Kiprich and his partner, Kizzy Donn, are mourning the death of their newborn daughter, who died while receiving medical care overseas. The baby, named Miracle, was born prematurely at six months and had been in intensive care since her birth.
The infant passed away approximately two weeks after delivery. A close relative of the mother confirmed the development to the Jamaica Observer.
The child was fathered by Kiprich, whose real name is Marlon Jaro Plunkett. The couple had been in Colombia when Kizzy went into unexpected labour. She had reportedly travelled with the entertainer for a stage show, but the premature birth resulted in them remaining overseas as their daughter required specialised medical attention.
Following the birth, a GoFundMe page was launched to help cover mounting medical expenses. On January 27, it was reported that the baby had been transferred to another hospital in Colombia, raising hopes that her condition had stabilised. Several members of the entertainment community contributed to the fundraising effort, including dancehall artiste Spice, who donated US$5,000.
In a video shared on social media days before the child’s death, Kiprich posted footage showing medical personnel transporting the infant by ambulance and aircraft. Alongside the video, he appealed for continued support and prayers for his daughter and dismissed rumours that the situation was a scam.
According to information shared publicly, the couple had been attempting to raise approximately J$40 million to facilitate further medical intervention and to transport the baby to the United States for advanced care.
