Dancehall Artiste Mavado’s Arrest Warrant No Longer in Effect!
Dancehall artiste David ‘Mavado’ Brooks has taken a significant step toward resolving his long-standing legal issues after meeting with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the meeting took place at the Constant Spring Police Station in St Andrew, where it is understood that the arrest warrant issued for the entertainer in 2018 was vacated, meaning it is no longer in effect.
The development follows Mavado’s recent return to Jamaica after about seven years abroad. Photos and videos of the ‘Gully Gad’ surfaced across social media platforms on Tuesday, showing him drinking jelly and also posing with officials in Kingston.
Despite the widespread attention, the artiste has not yet issued an official statement regarding his return or his engagement with the police.
Earlier on Wednesday, a video emerged online showing Mavado linking up with well-known Reggae and Dancehall promoter CJ Milan, sparking speculation about a potential event or musical collaboration.
Mavado left Jamaica in 2018 after an alleged incident in Cassava Piece, which resulted in an arrest warrant being issued in his name. Since then, he has been living in the United States, maintaining his career through music releases and international performances.
