Top 5 Trending/Hottest Dancehall Songs in Jamaica Right Now – January 2024

Riddim Juggling has once again captured the hearts of dancehall audiences, with tracks from Rvssion’s Dutty Money Riddim and Notnice’s Street Vybz Riddim claiming top spots for trending music in Jamaica. Securing spots in the top five on trending are dancehall artistes 450, Chronic Law, newcomer Nigy Boy, and Jada Kingdom as her feud with Stefflon Don continues to grip the attention of fans.

Chronic Law kicks off this trending list with his single Weekend (Bup Bup) taking #5 on YouTube. The Nontice Records-produced single was released on December 29, with the party track further cementing a return for the riddim.

Weekend (Bup Bup) has so far garnered over 955,838 views and 33,000 likes. The single is so far the only new release on the rereleased Street Vybz Riddim, but producer Notnice has teased that more can be expected from the once highly popular beat.

After several successful releases in 2023, such as his collaboration Crawsis with Shaneil Muir and his solo singles Cold Streets and Wild n Rich, 450 returns with his first release on YouTube for 2024, What If. Following its release on January 13, the single takes the #4 spot on trending.

The single finds the artiste questioning the genuineness of his love interest’s attraction to him, with its music video further conveying that women only want him for his fame. After its release over the weekend, the Weekday-produced track has acquired over 343,362 views and 35,000 likes.

While feuds are nothing new to dancehall, Jada Kingdom’s lyrical war with Biritish rapper/ dancehall artiste Stefflon Don has captured international attention. The pair have not restricted their insults to social media platforms and have released multiple diss tracks aimed at each other.

Following her diss track London Bed, Jada released Steff Lazarus on January 10, with the track claiming #3 on trending after acquiring over 768,783 views and 59,000 likes.

After her first teased diss track failed to grab favour among her fans, Jada released London Bed as her first official entry into her lyrical war with Stefflon Don. Released on January 9, the single instantly raised the stakes of their feud and now claims the #2 spot on trending with over 1.2 million views and 72,000 likes.

Amidst the resurgence of the Go-Go Club Riddim, under its new moniker, the Dutty Money Riddim, dancehall’s latest phenomenon, Nigy Boy, secures #1 on trending with his entry on the riddim, Continent.

The track was released on January 3 after the singer gained the attention of producer Rvssian with a snippet of the song, which was released on social media.

Following its debut, Continent has amassed over 1.8 million views and 98,000 likes.
