Earthquake Rocks Sections of Jamaica Again – Three Times In 3 Months

A quake estimated to be 4.2 in magnitude rattled eastern regions of Jamaica on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Android Earthquake Alerts System via Google, the quake took place at about 2:06 pm and 21 km from Kingston.

The Jamaica Observer made a post on Instagram asking followers whether or not they felt the quake and many persons had something to say about their experience, check out a few of their reactions below.

One person commented, “Felt it in Portland and was wondering if I am crazy because, since the last big earthquake, I am always randomly feeling phantom earthquakes.”

Another person reacted, saying, “I know my mind not tricking me!!!!. Cuz it felt nt bed move!!!”

In late October Jamaica experienced an estimated 5.6 magnitude earthquake, the largest to hit the island in a while, since then an estimated 4.2 magnitude quake also shook sections of the island in late November.

The 5.6 magnitude earthquake was located approximately 10km south of Buff Bay, Portland.
