Reggae Legend Jimmy Cliff Breaks Hip In Accident Cancels Tour
Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff is now recovering after breaking his hip after taking a horrible fall.
Dr. Jimmy Cliff, who is one of the most recognized voices in reggae music history, is currently in rehab after undergoing a surgery to fix a broken hip. His wife Latifa confirmed the incident but says the singer is doing good and will be back on the road in no time. As a result of his injuries, Cliff’s upcoming tour has been postponed to next year. The trek was scheduled to begin in October.
“We are sorry to inform you that Jimmy Cliff will not be able to perform his October shows 2018,” Jimmy Cliff management team said on Facebook. “Unfortunately he broke his hip and he is in hospital recovering from the injury.”
“We would like to thank you warmly for your messages of support to Jimmy Cliff. This gives him great strength to recover in good conditions. Jimmy is in rehab, he’s fine. Bless you.”
At age 70, Jimmy Cliff regularly tour the world performing for thousands of his fans. The reggae icon has over five decades in music under his belt and is showing no signs of slowing down.
