SHAGGY recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and the Internet cannot stop buzzing about it.

The show, aired on CBS on Wednesday, takes a humorous spin on the Russian investigation, which seeks to determine that country’s alleged involvement into the 2016 US elections in which Donald Trump defeated Hilary Clinton to become the 45th US President. The three-minute parody was done to a remixed version of Shaggy’s 2000 hit It Wasn’t Me.

Corden plays Mueller and confronts US President Donald Trump (played by Shaggy) about issues like collusion with Russia, the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, the Stormy Daniels case, and the infamous “P tape”.

Trump (Shaggy) is seen shredding classified documents and packing his bag while Mueller (Corden), accompanied by US Federal agents bangs on the door.

In a verse, Shaggy raps: “This damn Russian probe’s gonna bite me in the bummer/I never should have fired James Comey last summer/Pundits called me dumb, Bannon made me look dumber/I’ll blame Hillary, boy I’ve really outdone her.”

Mueller (Corden) ends the song by rapping: “They may say I take too long and my probe is a giant fail/But stay tuned, my investigation’s putting Donald Trump in jail.”

Trump (Shaggy) is then taken away in handcuffs, saying “It wasn’t me” as he tries to clear his involvement in the alleged allegations.

The video is now the second most trending video on YouTube with over 300,000 views. YouTube user Denesh Sinanan commented: “Make this a #1 hit”. Another user, Martynne Chen, implied that Shaggy, who has US citizenship, will have it revoked. Meanwhile on Instagram, Morgan Heritage member Roy “Gramps” Morgan also weighed in by commenting “WICKED BREDDA”. The deejay was also lauded for his acting skills by several users.

But Shaggy is no stranger to acting, and is featured in the Netflix movie Game Over Man, which will debut on March 23. The deejay has been doing several appearances on the international market in recent months, following the announcement of a collaborative album with British rocker Sting. The two recently appeared on The Breakfast Club, where they discussed Sting’s recent performance at the Shaggy and Friends benefit concert in January. Their album, 44/876, is to be released on April 20 under A&M/Interscope Records.
