Usher Settles $1.1 Million Lawsuit For Giving Stylist Herpes
Usher is facing a damning scandal after reports surfaced claiming that he settled a $1.1 million lawsuit for giving bridesmaid herpes.
The R&B singer, real name Usher Raymond, became a trending topic on Twitter after Radar Online published the story. According to the site, Usher paid $1.1 million to an unnamed ex-girlfriend/side chick to settle a lawsuit for exposing her to herpes. The female who was not identified reportedly was a celebrity stylist.
The lawsuit reveals that Usher was “exposed to herpes” around 2009 or 2010. The report even gets more damning by claiming that the singer had a “greenish discharge” from his penis at the time that was later found to be the sexually-transmitted disease. All of that was details were revealed in the court document. The court docs claimed that Usher told the stylist about the disease and convinced her that he was tested negative for the STD. They then had unprotected sex and she contracted herpes.
“Believing Raymond’s statements that it had been nothing and cleared up, [she] continued her relationship,” the unnamed female’s attorney said in the lawsuit. She also detailed the first time that she started feeling sick which occurred three weeks after they started having unprotected sex. She said that she woke up in the night with a fever of a “100 degrees” and started having aches and pains all over her body including a headache.
The female filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles where sexual partners are required by law to inform each other of any STD. Usher has since apologized for infecting her with Herpes and settled her lawsuit for $1.1 million on December 28, 2012. On a side note, “Let It Burn” is now trending on Twitter and fans are going in.
