American fugitive nabbed in Jamaica after 16 years on the run
An American who fled US justice to Jamaica some 16 years ago, has been captured by the Jamaican police.
Keemit Hand, wanted by prosecutors in Atlanta for narcotics trafficking, was captured on Wednesday by members of C-TOC in St Andrew.
Reports indicated that he had changed his identity to that of ‘David Richards’.
He has since been charged with breaches of the Immigration Act, and is scheduled to appear in the St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
