Buju Banton Daughter Political Bid Ended In Defeat
Buju Banton daughter run for political officer ended in defeat in Jamaica’s local government election this week.
Jodian Myrie ran on a JLP ticket for counselor for the Hagley Park Division in Kingston where she lost to PNP’s Nenna Wilson by a mere 107 votes. Myrie says that defeat will not end her political ambition.
We first learned about her political plans last month which made her one of the youngest persons to run for a seat. The Grammy-winning reggae star also voiced his support for her decision, despite his countless number of anti-political songs.
Buju Banton is currently serving a 10-year sentence in a Florida prison for cocaine trafficking. He will be released and deported to Jamaica in late 2018.
