Reggae/dancehall icons such as Sanchez, Barrington Levy, and Super Cat made Reggae Night at the 2016 Reggae Sumfest a huge hit.

A record crowd turned out to see the first ever all Reggae Night at the annual festival in Montego Bay. Sanchez had the crowd singing along as he belt out vocals for some of his notable hits including “Lonely Won’t Leave Me,” “One ina Million,” and “Hallelujah.” The dancehall crooner also performed songs in tribute to late artists such as Bob Marley, Sugar Minott, Gregory Issacs, and Dennis Brown.

Barrington Levy brought back a lot of memories for the older folks in the crowd singing songs such as “Prison Oval Rock,” “Too Experience,” “21 Girls Salute,” “Vice Versa Love,” “Murderer,” and “Broader than Broadway.”

Barrington Levy also brought out rapper Shine Head, who we’ve not seen in a long time, as we as, Beenie Man, who performed the night before.

Super Cat put on an energetic set that brought back memories to his performance at Sting two years ago. Luciano, Christopher Martin, Tarrus Riley, and Busy Signal also brought the house down.source:
