Jamaica’s Commissioner of Police undergoes emergency surgery

Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams underwent an emergency and is expected to be out of office for another two weeks.

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force were informed Friday afternoon of the development.

“He is expected to make a full recovery and return to office within the next two weeks,” said notification from the Police High Command to JCF members.

“We wish the commissioner of police a speedy recovery,” it added.

Deputy Commissioner Glenmore Hinds will act as commissioner during Williams’ absence.
