Drake says Vybz Kartel is one of his ‘biggest inspirations’ (VIDEO)
Drake recently dropped his long awaited album VIEWS, and within a week the rapper achieved his customary feat of being certified platinum.
The album VIEWS, like much of his work over the years has a evident Caribbean flavor, more specifically Jamaican culture embedded.
Drizzy has never hidden the fact that he is a big fan of Jamaican culture, more specifically Dancehall music. He even paid homage to the genre on VIEWS by sampling Dancehall heavyweights Beenie man, Popcaan and Serani.
But it seems the 6 God has a elevated degree of respect for one Dancehall artiste in particular, incarcerated Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel.
Drizzy in a interview chanted the infamous chant of ‘Free Worl Boss’, labeling Vybz Kartel as ‘one of his biggest inspirations’ calling him ‘Addi me Daddi’. Drake went on to praise Kartel impact the culture and music.
