Birdman Says He Is Not Gay, Talk ‘Respect’ My Name Fallout (Explicit)
Birdman is making it clear that he is not gay. For years the Cash Money head has been rumored to be in the closet with even his nemesis Trick Daddy taking a few shots at him recently during an interview.
The “Ms. Gladys” rapper sat down with Ebro Darden and co-host Laura Stylez of Hit 97 for a candid interview where he discussed a number of topics including rumors that he is gay, his recent running with The Breakfast Club and the whole “respect” my name roast on social media. For the entire week the hashtag #respeck has been a hot topic on Twitter and Instagram.
“Y’all don’t understand how dead serious I was in that building, man,” Birdman said (via Rap up). “Y’all done made this sh*t…and it’s cool. I’m with it. It gave a ni**a a laugh and I don’t like to laugh. I only like to smile. But it’s cool. A lot of that sh*t is real funny they got on the Internet, but it’s cool.”
Speaking about his sexuality, the label exec says that he is a straight gangster.
“Come on, man. I’m a straight gangster,” he said. “That ni**a’s been in my hood. He knows what’s happening with me. I guess ni**a wanna get on the radio and be funny or something but ni**a know what’s happening with me. Google me, man. Call anything in the 504 and ask about me. Google me, man. Watch what comes up: straight G.”
Birdman also touched on a few other topics including his fallout with Lil Wayne and his beef with Rick Ross.
“It’s more of a misunderstanding than a money issue,” he said. “If you knew me, I always gave Wayne any and everything he ever wanted.”
Birdman also confirmed that Drake sold 400,000 copies of his album in three hours after it was released and also that Nicki Minaj is back in the studio working on her new album.
