“When one of the occupants opened the door a slight bit to see who was there,” his lawyer argued in the lawsuit, the New York Daily News reported. “Officer Douglas Corso and other police officers kicked in the door and illegally entered the residence without a search warrant.”

Bobby Shmurda was arrested and charged with weapons possession, reckless endangerment, and conspiracy to commit murder.

The “Hot Ni***” rapper also argued that a gun that was found during the arrest does not belong to him. Police officers wrote in their report that Shmurda tried to hide a gun in a couch when they entered the premises. The rapper also noted that the cops were chanting the lyrics to his single while they were making the arrest.

Officer Corso is the only cop named in the lawsuit. What mkes this interested is that he is also an officer who is a defendant in five other federal civil rights lawsuits going back as far as 2011.

Bobby Shmurda is being held on a $2 million bail. He was denied bail on five other occasions.
