Reggae Icon Luciano Son Killers Charged With Murder
Luciano’s son alleged killers have been formally charged with murder.
Three teens were arrested last week for the killing of the reggae singer’s son Menelik McClymont. The 19-year-old was stabbed to death on February 27while he was on his way to school.
The three teens charged for the killing are Jerome Coombs, Camanie Shaw, and Nashlyn Anderson all from Kingston. All three men are 18 years old and is scheduled to appear in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court today.
There is a fourth teenager involved in the incident but he was not charged and is now the prosecution’s main witness.
But Luciano is appealing to the prosecutor to charge the fourth man.
“I would feel better if he was charged,” the singer said. “He went for these guys and we can’t allow him to get away with this. It is safer for everyone if he is brought to justice because I don’t want this to happen to anybody else’s child, and I don’t want anything to happen to him and people say is me send people to harm him. A lot of people are hurt by this and are thinking of retaliating. I have to be telling people to remain calm because I am not about revenge, I am about justice.”
