Dancehall Artiste Konshens Donates Water To Flint Michigan
Konshens is one of the few local Jamaican artists to step up and help Flint, Michigan.
The dancehall deejay has teamed up with Irie Jam Radio in New York to donate 100 cases of bottled water to the city that is suffering from tainted water caused by aging pipes.
“I think many people making small donations like mine will really make a difference, that’s a method we should employ in Jamaica as well, instead of waiting on one man or a big company to do something,” Konshens said. “Everybody can chip in small and get things moving.”
The problem started in 2014 after lead was detected in the City’s tap water. Over 12,000 children have been affected by the water crisis.
So far several big name celebrities have stepped up to help the city of Flint including Big Sean, Meek Mill, Eminem, Diddy, and more.
