Dubwise, led by Yaadcore soundsystem, plays dub music from the 70s to the present at SeaDeck restaurant in Orchid Village. Deejays Cali P and Lion Trod also performed current hits which received salutes from the crowd.
Before leaving, he offered to deliver an unprovoked statement to Tony Matterhorn, a selector turned deejay, not present in the venue.
“A coulda what happen to Matterhorn. We no ‘fraid of Matterhorn, fire bun Matterhorn. We step pon fire, press gas, we nuh step pon brake. Dutty bad man violate,” deejayed Fanton Mojah with gun lyrics.
He then effortlessly segued into thanking the patrons.
“Yo mi have nuff lyrics. Give thanks for those who come out. Rastafari. Bless.”
