Don Creary On Second Rape Charge, Denies Allegation
Don Creary arrives at the Half-WayTree Resident Magistrate’s court on Friday. He will return on Thursday on a second rape charge.
Former Jamaica Labour Party councillor Don Creary has been charged with a second case of rape.
Creary, who is also a businessman was charged following a question and answer session today in the presence of his lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson.
It’s alleged that in June this year, Creary raped the 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew.
The woman reported the matter to investigators in July.
The 48-year-old former politician has denied the allegation.
It is reported that both Creary and the woman admitted to police investigators that they were in a relationship.
Last week, Creary was charged with another case of rape.
He is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on both charges, when a bail application is also expected to be made.
Twenty-two year-old Shaneke Williams, Creary’s co-accused, is charged with aiding and abetting and sexual touching in connection with the first case.
