Matterhorn angered by Gully Bop’s ‘transvestite’ diss, threatens “war” (VIDEO)
Dancehall selector Tony Matterhorn has told rising deejay Gully Bop and emcee Nuffy to “expect anything” when he comes ‘face to face’ with them.
Matterhorn made the statement in a video posted on his social media pages on Monday night. He was responding to insults thrown at him by Gully Bop and Nuffy over photos which surfaced a few weeks ago, showing the selector allegedly posing with two cross dressers.
“Anytime unnu si mi just make sure unnu have unnu gun cause war,” Matterhorn said in the video.
“I’m sure I am going to prison or dead in a shootout,” he added in the caption.
Gully Bop, appearing in a video with Nuffy from New York where he is currently on tour, accused Matterhorn of going to “foreign and mek man ah rub him down like jelly”.
Asked by Nuffy to clarify his statement, Gully Bop said he saw the photos on the Internet.
“Everybody ah see it,” Gully Bop said.
A laughing Nuffy concluded the video by saying, “Matterhorn, yuh dead!”
Jamaica has a reputation of being intolerant of the gay lifestyle. And the dancehall, of which Matterhorn is a major player, is notorious for its anti-gay stance. When the photo of Matterhorn posing with the alleged cross dressers were released, the selector blasted a popular blogger who shared it while defending his actions, even though some persons have insisted that the so-called ‘transvestites’ were in fact women.
“I tek the picture dem because I am not prejudiced, I am not racist. They go about their merry ways, I go my ways.” Matterhorn said then, in an expletive-ridden rant directed at the blogger.
Last night, he went hard at Bop and Nuffy, who he accused of trying to tarnish his name.
“Everyweek someone tries to tarnish my name and every week I smile,” Matterhorn said. “Tell police or u wanna tell. Becuz anyday I reach my limit of cool may God help dem becus I always try to hold back my evil side.”
