Beenie Man denies he has US work permit issues

International recording artiste Beenie Man has denied that he is having any visa issues, ending weeks of speculation since he missed a major show in the United States.

He told ZIP FM during an interview recently that he missed the annual ‘Best of the Best’ concert because his passport was in the US Embassy at the time of the show.

“My passport was in the US Embassy at the time of the show (Best of the Best), that’s why I wasn’t able to go to the show,” he told a reporter at ZIP.

After losing his US work permit in 2010 in a highly publicised incident where several artistes lost their visas as well, the “King of the Dancehall” had been unable to travel to the US for a year.

He was issued with a 10-year visitors visa in 2011 and had his US work permit reinstated in 2012.
