US military aircraft land in Jamaica ahead of Obama visit
United States and Jamaican officials have ramped up security operations three days ahead of the arrival of US President Barack Obama.
At least four US Army helicopters arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport on Sunday. Obama will arrive in Jamaica on April 8 via US Air Force One.
Despite feverish road repairs and beautification activities by the government in preparation for the President’s visit, Loop News understands that Obama will be airlifted to an undisclosed location in Kingston after arrival at NMIA.
At least three hotels have been booked out ahead of Obama’s two-day visit.
