Bolt to run 200 metres at Lausanne Diamond League

Global sprint star Usain Bolt will run the 200 metres at the Athletissima Diamond League meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland on July 9.

It will be Bolt’s second big race of the summer, with the six-time Olympic champion from Jamaica also set to line-up in the 100 meters at the Areva meeting in Paris five days earlier.

Bolt has yet to finalize the remainder of his summer program before the world championships in Beijing from August 22-30.

Bolt, the world-record holder in the 100 and 200, will race the 200 meters for the fourth time in Lausanne.

He holds the meeting record of 19.58 seconds, set in 2012.

Pole vault Olympic champion Renaud Lavillenie also confirmed his participation to the meeting, the ninth leg of the Diamond League.
