Three of Jamaica’s relay teams at the the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland took gold in games record times today.
A star studded Jamaica men’s 4x100m relay team clocked a games record 37.58 seconds to take the gold medal in that event.

The team comprising Commonwealth Games 100m gold medallist Kemar Bailey-Cole, bronze medallist Jason Livermore, Nickel Ashmeade and Usain Bolt secured the win for Jamaica.

England 38.02 seconds took the silver and Trinidad & Tobago 38.10 seconds took the bronze.

Meanwhile, Kerron Stewart, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Schillonie Calvert and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce secured the women’s 4x100m relay win for Jamaica in a games record 41.83 seconds.

Nigeria 42.92 seconds took silver and England 43.10 seconds took the bronze.

And Jamaica’s women’s 4x400m women’s relay team ran a games record 3:23.82 seconds to take gold in that event.

Boasting a talent packed lineup of 400m gold and silver medal winners Stephenie-Ann McPherson and Novlene Williams-Mills joined by bronze medallist Christine Day and Anastasia Le-Roy Jamaica won with ease.

Nigeria 3:24.71 seconds took the silver medal and England 3:27.24 seconds took the bronze.

All races were run at the Hampden Park Stadium.
