After a 7-1 drubbing by Germany in the semi-final Brazil’s woes in the 2014 tournament continued when they conceded a goal in a mere three minutes against The Netherlands.
Robin van Persie opened the scoring from the penalty spot after a foul on Argjen Robben by Brazil captain Thiago Silva.
The Netherlands added more salt to Brazil’s wounded pride 14 minutes later when Daley Blind slammed a gift from a poor clearance into the roof of the net.
A hapless Brazil conceded the third in the dying moments of the game.
