While no Caribbean team is being represented in the 2014 FIFA World Cup now underway in Brazil, there are a slew of players of Caribbean decent playing for teams such as England, Netherland and France.

Here is a list of 10 big name players who are playing in the World Cup who are Caribbean decent.

Raheem-Sterling

Raheem Sterling is a 19-year-old professional soccer player who was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He migrated to England at the age of 5 and is now a right winger for Liverpool and the English national team.

Jozy Altidore is perhaps one of the biggest names on the U.S. national team competing for the World Cup in Brazil. Altidore was born in New Jersey but both his parents are from Haiti. He plays professionally for English club Sunderland.

Daniel-Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge is another player in the Liverpool starting lineup and also play for the English national team in the World Cup. Both of his parents are of Jamaican decent.

Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a winger for Arsenal and also play for the English national team. Like Sturridge, he is also of Jamaican decent.

Nigel de Jong is a 30-year-old Defensive midfielder for Italian club Milan. Jong, who is from the tiny island of Suriname, also plays for the Netherlands national team.

Jeremain Lens is another Dutch footballer from Suriname who play for the Netherlands national team. He play both as a winger and a striker for FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Leroy Fer is also a dutch player with roots from Curacao. He plays professionally for Norwich City.

Loic-Remy

Loic Remy is a french player who is of Martinique heritage. He plays professionally for France and Queens Park Rangers.

Jonathan-de-Guzman

Jonathan de Guzman is a midfielder for the Netherlands national team. He was born in Canada to Jamaican parents. He also plays professionally for Swansea City and Spanish club Villarreal.
