Vybz Kartel Takes First Dose Of ASTRA-ZENICA VACCINE

Incarcerated Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel has finally got his wish, after his attorney at law Isat Buchannan revealed that the Entertainer was interested in being vaccinated against Covid-19.

According to information relayed to the Jamaica Observer, the “Worl Boss” was among, the likes of around 30 inmates, at Horizon Adult Correctional Centre, who took their first Jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine today.

Previously, Officials from the correctional institutions had given word that there was a sense of hesitancy amongst prisoners to get vaccinated and they would need to start a drive to get the inmates on board.

The Minister Of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton, had earlier, given his word about getting Kartel fully vaccinated even though prisoners were not listed as s priority for the Jab.

A fellow MP said that it would be great to not only get the ‘Worl Boss’ vaccinated but also get him to do a jingle to assist their push towards getting the majority of the population to take the jab.

As of last week, many more vaccines got shipped into the island hence there are more than enough of the medicine, to cover all inmates; however, only 20 per cent have so far decided to take it.

Where it concerns the entertainer doing a jingle for the Government to push the vaccination process, there has been no word from the deejay’s team about it and it might just remain that way since the entertainer has been anti-Jamaican Government since his incarceration which he blames them for wrongfully doing because of his influence.
