US Embassy in Jamaica heightens security after suspicious activity

Activities at the United States Embassy in Kingston were this morning suspended after a man allegedly threw an item over the wall of the facility.

Police are tight lipped about exactly what took place but the incident has triggered a large security presence at the Embassy.

The development comes just a week before US President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit the island.
