World-leading time for Fraser Pryce at National Champs

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked the fastest 100 metres of the year at the National Senior Championships at the National Stadium on Friday.

Fraser-Pryce, got her usual bullet start and left all in her wake from then to win in 10.79 seconds with her MVP teammate Natasha Morrison surprising the field to take second in 11.03, as former World Championships gold medallist Veronica Campbell-Brown finishing fast to pip Sherone Simpson. Campbell-Brown was clocked in 11.08 to Simpson’s 11.14

All four have guaranteed a place on Jamaica’s team to the World Championships with Fraser-Pryce being the defending champion, gives her an automatic spot at the event.
