Jah Cure’s Follow Up Court Date Denies Early Release

It was ruled in a Netherlands court on Tuesday, August 9 that Jah Cure, birth name Siccature Alcock, should carry on with serving his six-year-long sentence for attempted manslaughter instead of receiving a lighter penalty. The Reggae entertainer is popularly known for his songs True Reflection (Prison Walls [written and produced as a part of his rehabilitation while in prison]), Love Is, and Longing For. Capleton Recovering After Crashing His Mercedes-Benz

Capleton is recovering following a recent car accident he was involved in. According to reports, the reggae artist was involved in a serious accident in St. Thomas on Tuesday morning (August 9). The singer’s manager shared that the “Fireman” artist suffered minor injuries from the accident. The car that Capleton was traveling in was reportedly overturned while on the Llandewey around 5 am. The “That Day Will Come” singer was the driver and was the only occupant of the vehicle. Capleton’s manager Claudette Kemp confirmed that the artist is at home resting after the ordeal. Jah Cure’s next Court date has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 9 when it will be decided by the judiciary whether or not the artiste will be kept in lockup throughout the regular legal court session. The Reggae entertainer has been incarcerated in the Netherlands since he was arrested and charged in October of 2021. Press officer Tuscha Essed told Dancehallmag that in accordance with Dutch Laws, it is compulsory that after every 90 days an adjudication must be made to decide whether or not a suspect will be detained for an additional time no longer than three months.
