Vybz Kartel Hints At Winning Appeal At Privy Council

Incarcerated Dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel is in high spirits for the trial of his upcoming appeal with the UK Privy Council.

Proclaimed as the “King of Dancehall” on his social media pages, he shared a post recently to his Instagram story to let artistes know that they should continue to enjoy their stardom for now…until he returns from prison.

“Everybody is a Star till Privy council says “you’re free to go”,” wrote Vybz Kartel.

Adidja Palmer o/c Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. Though the body of the victim was not found, he was initially given 35 years before being eligible for parole.

However, due to an appeal in 2020, it was reduced to 32 years and six months.

Based on new evidence found, Vybz Kartel’s lawyer Isat Buchanan expressed that upon review by the UK Privy Council, he is of high hopes that justice will be served and his client will be exonerated.
