Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Clocks World Leading Time In Kenya

Jamaican female sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce ran her first 100m race of the season in Nairobi. She ran at the Kip Keino Classic and managed to set a world-leading time of 10.67s in a well-executed race.

In second place was Egypt’s Bassant Hemida who was well beaten, crossing the line at 11.02s while USA’s Shannon Ray was third with a time of 11.33.

Fraser-Pryce led the race from start to finish in lane 5, she was very close to matching her personal best which is 10.60, clocked last year in August.

Notably, just days ago, American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson withdrew from the meet without any good explanation.
