R. Kelly Denies Having Relationship With An Underage Girl

R. Kelly is currently doing more damage control after new allegations that he had sex with an underage girl and even abused her.

24-year-old Jerhonda Johnson Pace spoke with Buzzfeed this week where she revealed details about her ordeal with R. Kelly from when she was 16 years old. Pace says that she met the R&B legend in 2008 outside a courtroom in Chicago while he was on trial for child pornography. If her story is true, then Kelly has no chill and will even strike while he is on trial.

Pace revealed that her sexual relationship with R. Kelly started right after he was acquitted of the charges brought against him. She was 15 when she just met him and was 16 when she started having sex with him. The age of consent in Illinois is 17 which could spell more legal troubles for the singer. She also claimed that Kelly and his attorney have her signed a nondisclosure agreement and he paid her to keep quiet about their relationship. Coming forward would mean that she is breaking that nondisclosure agreement which could put her in legal jeopardy with R. Kelly.

She said that she is coming forward because of the recent allegations of the superstar having a sex cult with a bunch of young girls. The difference with the new alleged case is that none of those women are minors and they all seem to be okay with it because no one has since left. R. Kelly publicist has issued a statement to CNN denying the allegations.

“The allegations against Mr. Kelly are false, and are being made by individuals known to be dishonest. It is clear these continuing stories are the result of the effort of those with personal agendas who are working in concert to interfere with and damage his career,” the statement read. “Mr. Kelly again denies any and all wrong doing and is taking appropriate legal action to protect himself from ongoing defamation.”
