Dancehall Veteran DeeJay Admiral Bailey pleads guilty to Fraud Charges, fined $160k

Entertainer Glendon ‘Admiral’ Bailey on Wednesday pleaded guilty to fraud charges filed against him after he attempted to renew a passport in another man’s name in February.

Bailey was fined $160,000 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

He was arrested and charged on February 23 with two counts of uttering forged documents, two counts of obtaining a passport by false pretence, two counts of possession of forged documents, and a count each of attempting to obtain a passport by false pretence and conspiracy to defraud.

Bailey was reportedly held after he attempted to renew a passport in the name Michael George Sullivan at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency on Constant Spring Road, St Andrew.

Defense attorney Tom Tavares-Finson reportedly told the court that Bailey had been using the passport, for which the entertainer is charged, for at least three decades.
